Casey Banker
Founder, DJ/MC
Casey (DJ KayBay) has DJ’d & MC’d over 300 weddings, galas, and club nights in his music career. He’s performed at festivals like The UMS, Treefort, and Westword Music Showcase. He also founded his own dance party, Nite Vision, spins vinyl, and is a scholar of all genres of dance music. He also heads up his own band, Modern Leisure. Casey loves putting care into making each event he DJ’s unique, special, and fun.
Sumner Erhard
DJ/MC
As a seasoned wedding DJ who’s DJ’d dozens of gigs with KayBay Entertainment, Sumner brings a lifetime of musical expertise and passion to every event. With a background as a composer and musician since he was a kid, Sumner possesses a deep understanding of how music can elevate any occasion. When couples choose Sumner to DJ, they can trust that their special day will run smoothly and calmly and that guests will have a great time.
Nic Hammerberg
DJ/MC
Nic is a lifelong music lover, performer, and event professional with deep roots in Denver’s music and arts community. In addition to DJing weddings and events throughout Colorado, he sings with the Colorado Symphony Chorus and has spent years working in live music venues and AV production. Nic loves creating dance floors that feel fun, inclusive, and full of energy, whether that means mixing crowd favorites, throwback singalongs, indie gems, or late-night party tracks. His goal is always the same: help people celebrate, connect, and have an unforgettable night!
Ronan Andrews
DJ/MC
Ronan is an avid music lover who pursues music full-time as a DJ, performer, music teacher and songwriter. He draws his inspiration from all the greats that came before him and loves to dabble in genres like soul, funk, R&B, rock, hip hop and electronic music. Expect a night of funky grooves and good vibes if you book Ronan as your DJ.
Vanessa Ruiz
DJ/MC, Photo Booth Manager
Vanessa is a lifelong music lover who got her start DJing at her college radio station at the University of Iowa. She’s DJ’d dozens of weddings with KayBay Entertainment and while she’s semi-retired from wedding DJing, she now serves as our on-call backup DJ and photo booth attendant. She brings a calm, friendly attitude to her weddings and especially loves DJing both modern club music and a good mid-2000’s throwback dance party.
CJ Ottman
DJ/MC
Casey (CJ), who also performs under the artist name Thunderthief, is a DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for blending electronic production with live performance. Deemed the “Best DJ-Producer in Class” by Vertex Music Festival, he’s garnered critical acclaim for his double-deck bass-guitar live performances and DJ sets. CJ brings his exceptional DJ skills to weddings and will keep your dance floor going all night long!
Eddie Schmid
DJ/MC
Eddie is an experienced DJ, MC, music writer and touring musician who has been in love with music since age three, when he watched his dad make mixtapes for friends on a reel-to-reel machine. “Few things bring me more joy than seeing a happy couple in the middle of a packed dance floor. I love talking with couples and putting together playlists that best match the tone and vibe they want for their special day.”
